The Kasbah sits on a slope on the outskirts of the old village centre of N’Kob Oasis where you can admire another 44 historical Kasbahs. The adjacent desert mountains of Djebel Saghro, part of the Atlas Mountains’ range, greet you with their exotic landscape and alternating colours, depending on the lighting conditions.

 

The impressive structure of the nearby Drâa Valley Oasis was used numerous times as a backdrop for many famous films (e.g. The Sheltering Sky, Gladiator, Babel, Troy, Alexander).

 

Cars can be driven without difficulty on all roads to and from N’Kob.
